IT Project Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The Information Technology (IT) Project Manager is responsible for managing and leading all aspects of multiple Software as a Service (SaaS) projects to ensure achievement of departmental objectives. Working closely with key Sponsors and internal departments to ensure successful implementation of software products and feature enhancements. The IT Project Manager will evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, make recommendations for areas of improvement, coordinate and facilitate internal and external meetings, and align with scrum and agile methodologies.

Manages multiple projects or a single major project. Works with Sponsors and Subject Management Experts to create business requirements for technology solutions. Assists with technology estimates, manages low to moderate complexity technology solutions for projects to a full-scale deployment in a live environment. Manages to timelines and communicates project status and has matrix management responsibility. Build positive give and take relationships with stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Manage multiple projects and ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
2. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring feasibility with product development team
3. Creates, updates and manages full-scale detailed project plans to monitor and track progress 
4. Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crisis, and devises contingency plans
5. Conducts project post-mortems and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
6. Identifies project risks and associated impact to client/business owners. 
7. Reports findings Sponsors and key stakeholders and actively participates in the development of solutions to eliminate or reduce risks
8. Ensure that all requirements are captured, and that scope is clearly defined
9. Facilitate stage gate reviews and other meetings related to execution of internal deliverables
10. Assist in the preparation of statements of work as well as the planning of resources to complete that work
11. Manage and facilitate the communication and workflow across all key departments
12. Create and maintain project-tracking issue and risk plans that drive action
13. Manage project budgets, timelines, resources, and deliverables
14. Review and ensure the overall quality of deliverables
15. Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervision: None

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan and supervise assignments of lower level employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
4 years project management experience, PMP certification required.
Experience with project management software such as PMWeb, Oracle Primavera P6 or MS Project preferred. 
Experience with Agile a plus.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
